“Is there a way to adjust suction strength? For example - looking for much less suction at times to clean bathroom mats so edges of rug don't get sucked up into cleaning head.. But also want full suction to clean carpets in main house..”

There is no way to adjust the suction and this vacuum has a powerful suction but you are able to turn off the brush so it wont reel anything in. I havent had any issues going from carpet to rug.

While there isn't a way to adjust the suction power, the Ball Animal 2 upright's cleanerhead is self-adjusting. The Ball Animal 2 is suitable for most flooring types. However, we are unable to test our machines on every flooring permutation out there.
