Is there a way to adjust suction strength? For example - looking for much less suction at times to clean bathroom mats so edges of rug don't get sucked up into cleaning head.. But also want full suction to clean carpets in main house.. null

There is no way to adjust the suction and this vacuum has a powerful suction but you are able to turn off the brush so it wont reel anything in. I havent had any issues going from carpet to rug.

Not anyway that I figure it out the only thing I would do is turn off the spinning wheel on the bottom that would probably help

This is Miella from Dyson. While there isn't a way to adjust the suction power, the Ball Animal 2 upright's cleanerhead is self-adjusting. The Ball Animal 2 is suitable for most flooring types. However, we are unable to test our machines on every flooring permutation out there. Therefore, we always recommend that you contact your carpet retailer/manufacturer before using your new Dyson or any other vacuum cleaner.
