“Does the rotating carpet brush turn off for hard floors?”

• Yes it does. You just have to change the settings on the power button. Half way down or all the way down. All the way down is for carpet and half way is hardwood ( this is when the brush stops spinning).

• It's not automatic, but there's a button to turn it off in easy reach next to the power button. I forget to turn it off fairly often a's have noticed no difference in performance though.

• Yes if you press the button to turn of the rotation from the vacuum cleaner
