“Ok, I just received my Dyson Ball Animal 2 and it's SO very hard to push (my carpet is a medium pile, not shag) and it instantly became hot! Am I doing something wrong? I checked the filter in the ball and the arrows were aligned...what else can I do?”

I take the bottom plate off to vacuum my plush carpet, put it back on to vacuum old, thin stuff☹️

Sorry I couldn’t help more but I thought it important to say that this is not the norm, nor the Dyson standard in my opinion.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would suggest ensuring that the 2 back roller balls and the actual "dyson ball" are all clear of debris. I've noticed a problem area under one of the hoses that sometimes gathers debris and it affects the smoothness of movement with the primary "ball". *See attached* Since the dyson has an automatic head, I would suggest turning the grey, carpet rotation brush button *also attached* , off, move the vacuum back and forth and then re-enable the brush and hopefully it better aligns with your carpet.
