• it's kind of crazy how light this thing is...........our old dyson was quite heavy and clunky...........this one is quite light

• It is relatively heavy; at least more so than I anticipated. My model is not rechargeable, but the cord is very long.

• This Dyson I do believe weighs about 17 lbs. It is not rechargeable This one needs to be plugged in, but the cord is long.

• The Dyson Animal 2 vacuum is plug -in only. It’s not too heavy, but we our home is Ranch Style, no stairs. It does run much quieter than our last vacuum (Hoover).
