I’ve had this problem on carpet, I’ll just lift it up to get it spinning then drop it and start vacuuming, then it seemed to work fine

Well with mine if the vaccum is clicked in the upright position it stops spinning for the use of the attachments, so you don’t burn a hole in your carpet.
