“how does this work for hardwood floors and dust? will it give a polished look? I have the older model and it does not”

Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Ball Animal 2 Upright vacuum cleaner, as with all Dyson vacuums, are engineered to effectively remove dust, dirt and pet hair from all floor types. However, we recommend consulting with your flooring manufacturer before purchasing a Dyson for guidelines regarding the care and maintenance of their product. You can shut off the brush bar on our uprights, if using a spinning bar with bristles would be a concern for you. There is nothing on the cleaner head that would polish your hard floors, however. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I used this on my laminate floor and it does a nice job, though I wouldn’t say “polished” The extendable wand, although a bit cumbersome to use, does a great job in vertical wood blinds.
