Answer is YES. DYSON indicates you have to turn it off for hard floors. There is a button for turning the rotating brush ON or OFF whenever you need to. Be careful though, every time you turn the unit ON the rotating brush will also turn ON. You just need to be alert and turn the rotating brush OFF if you do not need it when you just turned the unit ON.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the vacuum has a push button switch next to the power button to turn thre brush on/off. It makes it a lot easier to vacuum hard floors with the brush off.
