“I have a variety of rugs in my beach house. Will the Dyson Multi Floor be able to suck sand out of sea grass rugs, orientals and berber carpets without roughing up the fibers? Would I turn the beater bar off to vacuum these carpets?”

Hello Donna, this is Kelly with Dyson. You can turn off the brush bar on the Ball Multi Floor 2, for when vacuuming hard flooring or more delicate surfaces. With regard to sand, you'll want to ensure you're not picking up a lot, as it can clog the cyclone.This vacuum does offer 245 air watts of powerful suction. Best Wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
