Hello Robin, this is Kelly with Dyson. The DC50 is a more compact model, smaller in overall size, and provides less suction that our full size machines. The Dyson Ball Multi Floor is perfect for homes with both bare floors and carpeting, as the brush bar can be disabled should you desire.
