“I love this vacuum but I am concerned that the motorized brush will scratch hardwood. I would like an attachment that is just a brush to vacuum my hardwoods...the vacuum came w a small one but would like it to be the size of the motorized piece.”

They do make one larger but I have used the vacuum on my hardwood floors which are only a year old with no problem. I also before I purchased this machine use to sweep them with a corn broom. My floors are new and I have three coats of varnish on them. No scratches!!!

The brush bar on this machine cannot be shut off completely, however you can slow down the speed at which is spins as the brush bar is controlled by suction. We do carry other tools or attachments which may be more suitable for your hard flooring. You can locate those tools at authorized Dyson retailers or the Dyson website.
