A:AnswerHi there, this is Krystal with Dyson. Thank you for your interest in the Dyson Cinetic Big gBall Animal + Allergy vacuum. The Cinetic series does not have any filters that require maintenance. However, does have a HEPA filter located under the ball. This filter doesn't need to be removed.
Best Wishes,
Krystal

A:AnswerHi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Cinetic upright and canister models do have a filter, however that filter does not have to be cleaned or maintained, thanks to the Cinetic cyclone tips, which allow more dirt to pass through to your dust bin. The Ball Animal 3 will have two filters; one within the cyclone and the other inside the side ball. Those filters would need to be cleaned every 3 months to help the main perform optimally.
Best wishes,
Kelly

A:AnswerThat is the one downfall of the Dyson Vacuums. They do not do well on high pile carpet. We have lower pile carpets and they are excellent for them. Our thickest/highest carpet pile is in the bedroom and the Dyson head will sometimes stop in this room if you are not moving it quickly enough across the pile. It can get bogged down and is hard to push on the higher piles, even given the adjustable head.
A:AnswerYes…when it works. As with any decent vacuum, if you want one with enough powerful suction to pull the dirt out of the carpet, you will have issues with the edges of your rugs especially those with fringe being “chewed”
