Questioni have a 6 year old $12 straightener that i've used almost daily. it does the job very nicely. i always get compliments on my "beautiful hair". what in the WORLD do you think makes this thing worth $500? you've got to be kiddng.....

That said, the Dyson Corrale™ straightener will be the exception, as Dyson Corrale™ does have universal voltage, so you can use it in countries with different voltages by using an appropriate travel adaptor plug. QuestionHi, is it normal that my dyson arrived in a non-sealed package? Does it mean it could have been a used one? Also, is it normal that it makes a high frequency sound while charging using a stand?

- Answer no. i would say it's not normal that it came in a non-sealed package. mine was all sealed up. i would return it right away. it sounds like it was definitely pre used...only imo. several people complain about the sound, so I'm guessing it's normal. mine makes it every time i charge it. very annoying but it is what it is i guess. hope this helps!

- Answer Hi Tina, this is Kelly with Dyson. If the Corrale is left unattended with the power on for longer than 5 minutes, the flexing plates will automatically switch off. The power button will flash red and an alert will sound every 10 seconds; you can press the power button to reactivate the straightener. Idle/sleep mode just means that the machine has sat, and not been used, but is still on. If the straightener is left unattended with the power on for a further five minutes, it will turn off completely Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

QuestionI have quite a few baby hairs in the front. Will the dyson be able to grip and straighten the baby hairs?

- Answer dysons website mentions a microfiber towel. I might dampen mine a little in the future when I go to do it and then use the dry side 1 more time. I wouldn't do it when it is hot.
