We are using it on hardwood with no issues. You can set the height of the brush accordingly.

The Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal, and the V10 Absolute, both have the same torque drive cleaner head with a spinning brush bar. The head has strong pick- up performance across all surfaces. The DC motor is housed within the brush bar, and it transfers torque to the bar to dig bristles deeper into carpet to dislodge more dirt. You certainly can use this head on your bare floors. If you have hard wood, or a more delicate bare floor surface, you may appreciate the soft roller of the Absolute. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, Works well on hardwood. Soft fluffy roller works great on hardwood. I’ve been using a month and it doesn’t scratch. The new carpet and hardwood floor attachment does much better on hardwood than the V8 did.
