• Yes it can be placed in the floor. The only problem will be that it will pick up more dust on the outside of the machine and would need to be wiped down more often.

• Hi Tracy, this is Kelly with Dyson. You can place the Dyson DP04 Pure Cool on the floor. We would recommend making sure the floor is level, so there isn't any issue with the oscillation function of the machine. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
