A similar question was asked but the answers were unclear .... let me try again If the replaceable filter is removed from the unit , but not replaced with a new one , and the fan is then turned to “ on” , will the fan still work?.... just looking for a yes or no answer Also , what is the cost of the replaceable filter that lasts about a year?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. When you power on your DP04, it will always be purifying. You cannot turn that feature off. While on, air gets drawn in through the bottom of the unit, passed through the filter and purified, and that purified air gets expelled from the air multiplier. This particular model does also feature backward airflow, so if you wanted to have the benefit of air purification, but not feel the flow of air directly on your (ie: in cooler months) you can direct that airflow backwards. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. Purifying is its main purpose. It can’t be set to fan only. It will always purify unless you turn the machine off.
