Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Pure Cool Link filter will be good for 4382 hours. To break that down, if you use the machine 12 hours every single day, you'd replace the filter after a year. Both the machine and the Dyson Link App will alert you when it's time to change the filter, and you can also monitor remaining filter life within the App as well. Although Dyson says 12 months, mine needed changed in in 5 months because it started to smell. I removed it from the outer shroud and vacuumed it and I dust the exterior of the machine weekly. I have no idea why it started smelling and Dyson wasn’t any help The only suggestion was a new filter. I use my machine at night only while sleeping so it wasn’t from extended use. I would say the most time will be 6 months use before replacement.
