Can the omni-glide be used on area rugs null

Hi Ellie, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Omni-Glide features the soft-roller cleaner head which is intended for use on bare or hard flooring. If your area rug is a thin pile, you may be able to use this on that surface area, however there's no bristles in the roller to dig up dirt from carpeting or rugs. A little bit but it's not exactly what it was designed for. If you turn it on it's Max setting it is good to clean and to clean very thin thin mats but it's not gonna get the real deep cleaning like a normal vacuum would

No, it’s strictly for hard services. If you put the Omniglide rollers on carpet, it stops until repositioned on hard surface.
