Hello Alison, this is Kelly with Dyson. With regard to cooling, the Dyson TP01 Pure Cool Tower will provide the same 10 speeds of airflow, that the Dyson AM06 does. The biggest difference is that with the TP01 you also have the benefit of air purification. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Service
