Will this unit work as a fan beside the air purifier? null

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The TP01 Pure Cool Tower is both a fan and an air purifier. The fan does need to be on, in order for the purifier to work; ie: you cannot operate the fan, but turn the purifier off. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

The filter is built into the unit and yes I use it as a fan as the primary function. Air purification is just an added bonus. You cannot separate the two.
