Hi there, this is Tia from Dyson. Happy to explain! Air conditioning units and the Dyson TP01 Pure Cool Tower purifying fan are two very different products that work in very different ways. An air conditioner refrigerates the air it supplies, allowing the air in the room to be made cooler than the ambient temperature outside. The Dyson Air Multiplier™ fan cools a person by moving air over and around them. It's the air flow that from our blade-less fan that provides personal cooling effects. With that being said, you will not want to expect the ambient air in a room to drop in cooler temperatures when only using a fan. Thanks for your support of Dyson technology!
