Hello 3838, This is Miella from Dyson. The Dyson TP01 Pure Cool purifier fan will clean the air in any size room. The bigger the room, the longer the machine will take to purify it as there is more air in the room. In a room of 139 square foot, the tower purifier fan will purify the room in 27 minutes. In a smaller room, it will take less time to purify the air; in a bigger room, it will take longer to purify the air. Other environmental factors that can affect how long it takes includes current ventilation, the layout of the room, etc. Hope this helps! Miella Dyson Customer Support
