“Which Dyson would work best to heat a 400 sq room in the basement? We are currently using 2 LifeSmart Infrared heaters that work great but would love to just use 1 heater.”

Hi there, this is Tia from Dyson. Our purifying heaters are suitable for both small and larger living spaces. The time it takes to heat a room can vary from room to room. This is because the size of the room, the thickness of the walls, the number of windows, the temperature outside etc., affects the amount of time it takes the heater to heat up the room. Dyson Hot + Cool purifiers heat the whole room evenly faster than any other. When it hits the desired temperature, it switches off and continues to monitor the room temperature. If a drop is detected, the heater turns back on to maintain the set temperature. This minimizes energy usage as the heater is on for the least possible time. Most other fan heaters not only need to be on for longer to heat the room evenly, but often waste energy by being on for longer than is necessary due to inaccurate thermostats or limited settings.
