I'm from the U.S. and currently live in Korea which has 220V power. We use step down transformers to run our 120V appliances without any issues. A high wattage appliance like a hair dryer is probably going to want a transformer with 2.5 to 3 KVA capacity

If you purchase a Dyson in a country with 240V electrical power and use it in a country with the same voltage, you will be absolutely fine. In the US, the voltage is 110/120V, so using it in a country with such a large difference would cause the machine to malfunction. I hope this information was helpful.
