• Hi Marcia, this is Kelly with Dyson. The V11 Origin cord-free won't stand on its own, you do need to be holding on to the main body portion of the machine at all times during operation. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

• As long al the attachment click when you install it, there is no way it will fall. I have the V6 and now the V11 and all the attachment work together. So to answer your question "No" you should not worry.
