Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson V11™ Outsize vacuum features three suction modes, and also has a suction control slider right at the front of the cleaner head. You can attach any of the tools right to the dust bin to use the machine as a handheld. As well, any of them attach to the wand, so you have extended reach to your ceiling corners. Please try again later.The red stick that comes with the vacuum can be detached from the High Torque XL cleaner head (970426-01) and then you can attach the included Crevice tool (967612-01) to reach ceiling corners. The vacuum measures 45 inches from the tip of the crevice tool to the handle. You should be able to easily clean ceilings that are 8-12 ft in height. I am 5'9" and can easily reach 11' ceilings without a stool.

It comes with all the adapters and has a bigger basket and it’s awesome that if my battery dies I can just change it it to the other battery and put the one I was using to charge in the meantime!!!
