QuestionI bought my dyson v6 3 months ago and now there is a flashing red light, doesn’t charge and won’t start. What sound I do next?

- Answer I have the same issue with the V7. My filters haven't had the chance to get dirty. In fact, the filters are still bright white. Do I attempt to return it to the store or attempt to contact Dyson per the email that a Dyson rep posted? Battery issues seem to be an ongoing issue with more than one model. Hopefully, this is resolved easily and painlessly.

- Answer Yes, the button or trigger needs to be held in, but it's really not that big of a deal. I think it's good because you only get about 20 minutes of battery life and you can easily turn off when moving locations to save battery. The trigger is really sensitive too so you barely think you are holding the button in.

- Answer Yes! I use it on my area rugs/carpet and on my hardwood and tile floors. You can go from floor to floor without having to change anything.

- Answer Hello! This is Miella from Dyson. The V6 Animal comes with more tools specifically designed for homes with pets (like the mini motorized tool and mini soft dusting brush) and the direct-drive cleanerhead, which is 75% more powerful than the standard motorized cleanerhead. The V6 comes with the standard combination tool and crevice tool (the Animal comes with these as well), and the standard motorized cleanerhead. Hope this helps! Miella Dyson Customer Service.

- Answer I had the wall charger mounted in 15 minutes (probably because I'm particular), it comes assembled you just need to mount it. Please don't skip the reading of the the installation book first..

- Answer Hi Suz, this is Carissa with Dyson. We appreciate your interest in our V6 Animal. All of our V6 cordless units do come switched on to MAX mode out of the box. The V6 should run between 16-20 minutes in regular mode and 6 minutes in max mode. While some customers use the V6 as their sole vacuum at home, the V6 line was designed with quick pick-ups in mind. If you find that 20 minutes would not be enough time, we also would recommend our compact upright or canister machines. We hope this information proves useful. QuestionWe got the V-6 animal for my mom. When I tried couple of the brushes, it was really difficult to vacuum as the brushes were getting stuck to the carpet and really hard to go back and forth. Do the brushes get adjusted accordingly? help!

- Answer It really doesn’t work well on high carpet or certain mats. Better for floors. It has that higher power button but still gets stuck. Not good for heavy duty carpet cleaning.

- Answer I have the dyson ball as well, but purchased the v6 animal extra for my daughter, her dog sheds heavily and my son has one and he has 2dogs and a cat that shed a lot. I found the cordless to have better suction, it's light, you can get it in to more places and with the attachments you can get hair anywhere. The only downside is the battery, even with a full charge it only runs about 30min and you have to empty the canister more frequently.

- Answer The issue is a blockage of some kind. Removing the filter provides better flow and so runs okay. However, the obstruction may well be a combination of obstructions to the airflow. Look for any obstructions in the system, from head up through the filter. You could also consider buying a new filter.
