Hello Tim, this is Kelly with Dyson. We would not recommend vacuuming up a large volume of either sawdust or drywall dust. These fine materials can clog your cyclone and filter. While the filter can be cleaned with water, the cyclone cannot, and the dust that could get trapped inside would block airflow in your machine, resulting in a loss of suction power. At this time, Dyson does not have a work or shop-vac type machine. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
