Can you buy a stick for the v 7 trigger? null

Yes you can buy a stick for Your v7 trigger. All these other answer are wrong. V7 to the newest v11 all the attachments fit each other.

According to Dyson no, the hand-held versions are not compatible, at least on this series. I have not personally confirmed though.
