Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The V7 Trigger is a handheld model, that would not connect to a wand or floor tool, so in terms of being a floor vacuum, we wouldn't recommend this model. For cleaning a vehicle, this is a great machine. You do not need any type of separate charger; this model comes with the included charger that plugs into your standard wall outlet.
