Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. If you are vacuuming up either pet or human hair, it can wrap around the bristles in the brush bar. We do recommend regular maintenance/removal of that hair, so it's not able to accumulate and cause any issues. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
