A:AnswerIt is "safe" for hardwood floors, but the roller wheels wear out quickly and begin marking the floor. The marks come out, but not easily. I had to replace the wheels after 6 months and I about to replace them again. Not very well designed.
A:AnswerWhen using the brush cycle, it seems to throw everything back. I'm sure it picks up some, but looks like it needs a back stop of some kind. So no, I don't think it's very good at cat litter.
A:AnswerHi Mike, this is Krystal with Dyson. Thank you for your interest in the Dyson V8. Both the Animal and Absolute are the same models, the main difference besides color is the tool attachments. The Absolute comes with an additional cleaner head designed for bare floors. If you have all hardwood flooring, the Absolute sounds like the better option. Both also come with a mini motorized tool for use on upholstery.

A:AnswerHello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Your Dyson V8 Animal will have two filters; one that sits inside of your cyclone, and the post-motor HEPA filter. You will want to be sure to wash these once a month, and with proper maintenance, you shouldn't ever need to replace them. Most authorized Dyson retailers should carry spare filers; if they do not you may purchase them direct from Dyson.

A:AnswerIt’s great with a longer battery life than the V6. And great for animal hair and Easy to empty. I Vacuum the whole house with carpet and get all pet hair up.
A:AnswerHello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson V8 Animal cord-free vacuum will provide you with 115 air watts of suction power. The direct-drive cleaner head has powerful bristles ideal for carpeting, but also work well on bare floors. You can not, however, turn the brush bar off, so if that's a concern with having hard wood, you may prefer the Absolute model. This vacuum will provide you with two cleaner heads - one of which is a soft roller. This floor tool was engineered specifically for hard floors.

A:AnswerHello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. All of our Dyson cordless models, including the V8 Animal do have a battery which can be replaced if needed. The battery itself is held in to place with 2 small screws and can be recharged either on the mountable wall dock or just by simply plugging the charger in to the machine.

A:AnswerHello Emme, thank you for sharing your concern with us. Dyson V8 does not include HEPA Filters however, this powerful cordless vacuum is covered with Dyson s’ advanced 5-stage filtration that captures 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns, which is as small as bacteria.
A:AnswerIt has a wall mount. You could lean it up in a corner. You must hold The trigger button on to run the vacuum. Lifting your finger off stops the vacuum It’s easy to keep the trigger depressed while vacuuming.
A:AnswerHi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. There are 2 filters on the V8 Animal - the pre-motor filter which is the cone shape filter that sits in the cyclone. The post-motor filter is the blue piece that twists on to the back of the main body. You shouldn't need to replace the filters as they are washable. However replacement parts are usually available at Dyson retailers or direct on the Dyson website.
