QuestionI thought I would love this but the charge isn't very long (cleaning from Christmas and only got one room done) canister fills so quickly (2 dogs) not sure if I am thrilled to spend over 400.00 and have to use my old vac (oreck ..glad I didn't throw away)

- Answer I right there with you Patti. Our battery lasted about 5 minutes on high, and over time that got worse, until the product run time fell to 29 seconds. Called tech support, and replacement battery is $140. Not sure what's worse...a $400 vacuum or a $140 battery.

- Answer It uses a standard Dyson filter which you can get from Dyson. There are also lots of replacement parts from other manufacturers available on Amazon. Many Dyson filters are washable.

- Answer You might want to bring it back to Best Buy. It should not run out after 10 min unless you’re only using max power. If you bought geek squad protection, you can replace it up to 5 years later.

- Answer You can get one from Dyson for the low cost of $140. Yes...$140 for a battery! That is what I was just quoted from Dyson.

QuestionI have two huskys and have a lot of hair. My house is a mix of carpet and hardwoods. 1) will this canister hold up on the hair? 2) What is the manufacturers warranty on the motor of the vacuum?

- Answer It should hold enough for you but With two huskies I would recommend the Dyson Outsize vacuum. As of the manufacturer warranty, it does not cover as much as geek squad protection will. With geek squad protection you would be able to replace your Dyson up to 5 years later if something happened.

QuestionCan you turn off the roller bar on this model? If not, what other models have that function?

- Answer To turn the roller bar off you merely release the trigger, this stops the vacuum from actuating. If you’re desire is to stop the bar from turning is to “unstick” something from the rollers that you inadvertently vacuumed, then that is how you stop the rollers. There are other attachments included that do not have the rolling bar. Otherwise it’s not necessary to stop the bar for any other reason.

QuestionI am having trouble with the large roller brush. After I start using it, it quits. Then I wait a while and it starts again ,only for a short time. And it is not clogged with hair or anything. What could be the reason for that?
