Hi. Eargo's rechargeable batteries are not replaceable. The typical lifespan is 1,000 charges or approximately 3 years of use. The batteries do not simply stop working at the 1,000 charge period. Instead, they simply don't hold their expected 16 hours/day run time. By the 3 year mark, the vast majority of Eargo customers upgrade their devices to Eargo's most current model. The most common repair cause for all hearing aids, including Eargo, is ear wax and moisture affecting the microphone and speaker. That being said, the cost for any out-of-warranty Eargo repair is $295 per hearing aid. This fee does cover any defect of the rechargeable battery.
