    Best tiny hearing aids

With these tiny hearing aids i hear a lot better then i have in a long time, i love that i can do everything myself without going to several appt. But also know that i can call eargo and speak to an audiologist any time. The sound is good, the app is good the only con is that you have to replace the mic covers every month or two and its an added $240 a year. They are not 100% but neither is prescription ones. The big plus is that they are so small that no one knows you have them in.

    Not For Me

I had a hearing test done and was diagnosed with a mild to moderately severe sloping hearing loss. After studying my audiogram and researching over the counter hearing aids I felt like I was borderline for OTC hearing aids. The hearing test was done by a major prescription hearing aid firm. After they worked their mumbo jumbo hoodoo magic special discount they wanted about $5800 to fix me up. I told them I would think about it. What I thought was, it's worth a shot to try the over the counter route. Purchasing through Best Buy, I had 60 days to decide whether it would work or not. I ordered the Lexie B2 to start with. These provided a great improvement in my hearing. The one thing I found most annoying about them was noises caused by my cap, glasses, or hair rubbing against the behind the ear portion of the device. After about 3 weeks I ordered a pair of Eargo 6 in the ear devices. Before the Eargo 6 arrived I went through all of the informational and instructional videos on the Eargo website. They were very useful and informative. When they arrived, I felt like I was familiar with them and I had no problem setting them up and going through the hearing test. I liked the fit of the in the ear device and the problems I had with noise with the Lexie B2 were eliminated. But I couldn't hear as well. The Eargo came with a closed dome. I switched to the open dome and that made an improvement but not enough. After a week or so I did the self test again. This made some improvement but still, I didn't feel like I was getting the hearing and speech recognition improvement that I was getting with the B2. I did not like the volume control on the app. It doesn't show a number so that you can see at a glance where you are. You get 2 clicks up in volume adjustment and no more. There were so many times I felt that if I had 2 more clicks available that the volume would be right. I also did not like how the cell phone communicated with Eargo. You must have your volume up on your phone for the app worked. If you are in an environment where you must have your volume muted (meeting, classroom, funereal, etc.) you have no control over the Eargo. If I was in my truck and my phone was paired via Bluetooth to the truck, the controls did not worked. I really liked wearing the Eargo 6 and wanted so much for them to work. They cost more than twice as much as the Lexie B2. I expected to be able to hear better but didn't. The Eargo 6 was returned to Best Buy and I am very happy with the Lexie B2. Thank you so much Best Buy for the opportunity!

I grew tired of missing out on many conversations, inability to hear in crowds and blowing people out of the house having the TV volume set to max. I've worn an over the ear hearing aid but when i damaged it (forgot to remove it in the shower) I decided I just adapt. Also, I never got used to the look and felt It made me appear older than I actually was I did my research and purchased the Eargo 5 and I'm so glad I did. For the first time in years I can hear clearly, people no longer have to repeat themselves and I can her my companions sitting across from me in crowded environments such as restaurants and bars. For me the added bonus is no one, I mean no one has a clue I'm even wearing a hearing aid unless I tell them. I should also mention the support exceeded my expectations. I received periodic check-ins from an otolaryngologist. The Doctor, ensured I was satisfied with my device, it was functioning properly and helped me to get a better fit. I highly recommend!

I found the customer service excellent. They were very easy to contact and helpful. The device is comfortable and almost invisible. Unfortunately, I found music sounded terrible with occasional feedback. I returned them and purchased an over the ear model. I do, however, recommend that you give them a try. I've had friends that reported better results.

This was my first time trying hearing aids. I thought that the volume adjustment did not provide enough range and I returned the item. Otherwise, if you can get accustomed to werign the hearing aid, I think it provided quality sound.

I only had this for 10 days. I was excited with the app as you have to do a screening test first and it will customize the setting for you based on your hearing profile/result. Unfortunately, the app was not very responsive and sometimes requires multiple attempts to make any changes to work. I returned it and decided to stick with the other model they have ( neo hifi). I found the neo to be more comfortabe in my ears and an easy and straight forward setting and app use.

This product is a real help in my hearing loss, plus it is less expensive than my hearing aids that I used before, which I had to buy batteries frequently. It is also easy to use the application and program it according to the environment you are in.

Eargo makes a very good quality hearing aid. Mine tested out quite well, however I returned them because they were so small that I was concerned about them falling out and losing them.

Don't know how good the aids are as Eargo Customer Service did not adjust them for my prescription until I complained and they never even got my contact information correct. My husband purchased them using his BB account and Eargo could not register me as the user. Despite setting up my Eargo account with my contact information and multiple calls and emails, they continued to send him emails and call him on his phone. I never used the aids as they did not adjust them to the audiogram I sent them until I asked to return them.

Impressive technology and design but not suitable for me. Telephone help is available but very time consuming and especially difficult if you don't hear well! I took a chance but no luck. Will be returning them.

Absolute Garbage! Quit working after less than a year. After multiple calls to Eargo they say there is nothing they can do. So much for their 1 year parts and labor warranty. I have Total Tech so thought they would at least be covered by Best Buy, which is why we bought them there, only to find out that these are excluded from Best Buy total tech. When I went into the store, I was told there are a few items Best Buy sells that they don't cover. If the product is not reliable enough to cover with your total tech warranty then why sell it at all? Paid $2500 for something I now have to throw in the garbage.

    Eargo Neo HIFI hearing aids

Eargo you are the complete package!! The capability to adjust/change a setting on my phone to hear better in a different situation. Video support to show me how they work and to care for them. To be able to pick up the phone and talk with a live person not just a recording/call center who don’t care. Price…I’m on a fixed income and my insurance don’t cover hearing aids. Your half the price as others and even so I had a hard time letting go of that kind of money. But I knew I had to do something. So I took the plunge and I’m glade I did. No more saying what did you say over and over again. This little hearing aid is truly a game changer for me. Thanks Eargo! Julia M

    Couldn't be happier

I must admit that I was a little apprehensive about which hearing aids to purchase. In the past I purchased what I call cheap hearing aids or hearing amplifiers. The cheap ones were terrible they sounded like two tin cans stretched between a string. I did a lot of research before purchasing my EARGO 6 hearing aids. The purchase was easy, and the shipping was fast. The sound quality I get from the EARGO 6 hearing aids is just amazing. The rechargeable batteries me all day. I don’t have to worry about fumbling around to change batteries. At first, I had a problem with hearing my own voice, but it went away in a few days. The app for my hearing aids is perfect, I love the control that I have. I can control my hearing aids to fit the environment I’m in. Now when my wife speaks to me, I can actually hear what she is saying. Before I was always saying HUH all the time or she had time. Before she had to be facing directly at me for me to understand her. I can have conversations with my grand kids now, before it was very difficult. The first time I went to a restaurant was amazing. Before in a restaurant I could noy have a conversation with anyone because the noise made my hearing scrambled. Not now with my new EARGO hearing aids. It was so nice to go there and be able to hear what everyone was saying. Now I know which setting I need to match the environment I’m in. I am a avid bird watcher and feeder. Before I couldn’t hear most of the birds singing, my wife would say can you hear that bird singing? And of course, I couldn’t but now I can with my new EARGO hearing aids. I can’t say enough good things about my new EARGO hearing aids they have changed my life. Thank You EARGO. EARGO support is very helpful and genuinely concerned about any problems I might have, I know I can count on them.

Eargo hearing aids - - OUTSTANDING!

Eargo hearing aids are EXCEPTIONAL in style, quality, and ease of use, and the customer service is outstanding. The Eargo design is simple, smart, and very effective. When these hearing aids are in your ears, they cannot be seen, a great feature of the Eargo design. These hearing aids are paired with your smart phone so the sound can be adjusted for various situations (TV, restaurant, phone, etc.) and for various noise levels. The Eargos slip easily into a simple attractive charging case which operates on electricity, so no battery is needed. I highly recommend Eargos with no hesitation.

    Five-Star Product & Five-Star Company

I’m a first-time hearing aid user and very reluctant buyer. I kept saying that I don’t have a hearing problem, but I knew I missed words in group conversations and said “what” way too often. I did my research and decided that I wanted an in-ear-canal device with rechargeable batteries. I also wanted to be able to try the product before purchasing. Getting “test only” ear plugs from Eargo was a big plus for me. After one week of sticking those “test” plugs into my ears, I knew I made the right decision. Plus knowing that I had 45 days to return the EARGO 6 ear plugs for a full refund was comforting. Ordering, delivery, and follow-up was done by a very helpful and professional staff. There was no lack of phone calls, emails, and instructional videos. Everyone from the sales and technical staff to the audiologists wanted to answer my questions or concerns and see that I was pleased with my ear plugs. Hard to believe that I wear them all day and don't realize that I have them in. When I watch TV I usually tap my ears to get in the TV program. ( Yes, I could use the phone App but I prefer just tapping ) Most of the time I have them in the Normal program. At night I pull out my ear plugs, clean/brush off any wax and place them in this neat little Charger case. It’s a five-star product and five-star company.
