this is just a through feed cable, you can use it for whatever you'd like as long as it's low current. Generally, if you wanted to catch reverse signal at the taillight, you could connect both red leads from the camera side together, than use that red lead on the other side of the RCA to your headunit's reverse trigger. If you wanted your camera powered anytime the vehicle is on, you could use the red lead in the RCA cable in the opposite way, so your radio ACC power would actually power the camera. In this scenario you would need to seek reverse somewhere else to trigger the radio to look for the image. You could also do nothing with the red leads in the RCA, it will work without them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Some video receivers can use a turn-on signal to automatically switch to the camera view. The red leads on cable are to send voltage to let the receiver know. It all depends on your receiver if it's useful to you or not.
