You can spray paint the back plate any color you want.

If you even need it, the color is white. But it is also paintable.

It's white, only the display screen and the front portion of the bezel around the side are black.

It comes with a white backplate. A black one can be purchased.

Mine is black and it looks great against the light gray paint on the wall and the white crown molding and baseboard!
