“Can it be set to cool or heat only? If I set it to 75deg. I want it to cool to 75 only. If it happens to cool to 74 , I dont want the heat to kick in to heat it to 75. I dont want it to go back&forth between cooling&heating. This is a big electric waste.”

I believe that may be an option (not sure on the specifics), but you also can set it to only heat or only cool - it won't switch back and forth between the furnace and A/C.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you have to switch from heat/ Ac to get various settings. Example if you put it to cool at 75, unless you turn the heater on, the heater wont kick on.
