“My home is from the 1950s and only has a gas boiler with radiators with the older wiring. Will this thermostat work? Mine currently runs off of batteries. Thanks!”

Yes, my house was built in 52 with an add on whole house air conditioner and works great. Any issue can be resolved with Cust. Serv.
