“Is there a way to turn the fan on without the heat or air running? Our front bathroom does not have and exhaust fan but having the furnace fan on helps. We turn it on manually when we shower. Can we still do this with the eccobee?”

Yes. The fan can be turned on manually, then switched back to auto to run only when heating or cooling. It’s nice to circulate the air when you want. You can also set it to run for a specified amount of time each hour, but for your purpose that function would not help you.
