“I have 4 separate compressor systems for my large home. I want to use one ecobee for each system with a separate tablet to control each. (A total of 4 ecobees and 4 tablets.) Will this work? Or would there interference or cross talk between them? Cost ok”

This should work fine as long as you give each Ecobee its own name. You could even manage each one from the same tablet as long as each one has its own name. Just create your Ecobee account and add each one with a name specific to the area of the home that it is in.
