The Ecobee3 (like any thermostat) can only turn the A/C on or off. You could set up Ecobee sensors in your bedroom or living room and tell the system to stay on until the room of your choice hits your desired temperature.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is likely that the air flow is following the venting in your home. No, ecobee3 will not be able to redistribute the air flow. Rather, the ecobee3 will average the temperature of all of the sensors and include other calculations like activity, indoor and outdoor temps and set the thermostat accordingly. To manage the airflow between your vents/floors, you will need zone heating/cooling.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will not alter air flow, you would need smart vents for that. (There are smart vents that work nicely with the ecobee however) What this thermostat would do is be able to use sensors to register the temperature in each of those rooms, utilize whichever temperature you deem valuable at the time, and use that as the temperature to heat/cool for. With multiple sensors it can average the temperature of the rooms it's currently using and aim for an overall house temp. This way it won't shut off the air early if the bedroom that no one is in, or the hallway the thermostat is in, is really cold, but the living room where everyone is at is still hot.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, wounds like your a/c unit is closer to the bedroom. Only way is to adjust duct work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, it will not. It will make the other rooms temperature rise or fall. so for instance. Let's say you have a room that is usually hotter than the others. It will run the ac until that room reaches the desired temp. The others will be freezing cold.,
