Hi there! Before purchasing, I would ensure your setup in the Yurt is compatible with ecobee's thermostats. You can do this check here https://www.ecobee.com/en-ca/compatibility/thermostat/ The ecobee Smart Thermostat Essential can operate in cold climates, but there are important considerations for using it in a yurt or similar structure: Operating Temperature Range The thermostat functions between 14°F to 122°F (-10°C to 50°C). Desired Temperature Settings You can set the thermostat to maintain temperatures from 45°F to 120°F (7°C to 49°C). This means the thermostat itself must remain within its operating temperature range to function properly.
