I have a 2300SF ranch with one AC zone. I have set the second sensor in the Master bedroom which is at the opposite side of the house from thermostat. The Master bedroom tended to run about three / four degrees warmer than the rest of the house. With the addition of the sensor, when the sensor recognizes the Master is occupied, the thermostat seems to engage based on the average of the two thermostats. In my situation it appears the sensor did exactly as advertised and the Master is now more comfortable.
