It works with regular bulbs, but you do have to have compatible wiring. It cannot be used with a 3way switch, and requires you to have a neutral in the box for it to be used. (normally either 2 blacks and a white or a black and red and a white.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm actually using this on a backyard flood light since it doesn't have dimming capabilities. The ratings and answers everyone else gave you are 100% correct. It may not be a 3way switch but almost every light in my house has 3 or four way switches, I have since eliminated those because now I just talk or use my phone. Just make sure you have someone in the electrical field to do that if you decide to eliminate the 3 or 4 way switches because you have to tie runner from each switch to the hot wire to get the voltage to the switch. Please don't try this without a professional, if you are one it frees up electrical boxes to mount tablets and voice assistants to.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You do not need special bulbs, although the instruction manual says it is compatible with hte smart bulbs out there. This is just a single switch. It will not work on any switches that have multiple controls (in others words if you can use more than one light switch to turn on the same light.)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This switch works with LED, Incandescent, and CFL bulbs. They do not need to be smart bulbs. This turns your circuit into a smart circuit. The amount of lights it can handle at one time depends on the amperage/draw of the lights.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, the switch is all you need. No specific lights are needed as the switch controls the light just like any other switch and basically connects itself to Alexa with a few prompts
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, however to see the true effects of saving on your light bill you still may want to get led lights
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The switch is rated for up to 600w of incandescent bulbs and 150w of LED or CFL bulbs. I don't use the Philips Hue bulbs but can't see any reason they would not work since they are LED's. How many you can have on one switch is dependent on the wattage of the bulbs used. 6 100w bulbs, 12 50w and so on but that is just a gauge. When it comes to electricity and the unknown, seeking the advice of an electrician can be worth the time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This switch can control up to 600W incandescent or 150W LED/CFG of regular lights wired to the switch directly. You can also use Alexa integrated in this switch to control any number of other smart lights that are Alexa compatible (Hue, LiFX, etc)
