A: It works with regular bulbs, but you do have to have compatible wiring. It cannot be used with a 3way switch, and requires you to have a neutral in the box for it to be used. (normally either 2 blacks and a white or a black and red and a white.
A: Will this work with the smart life app? No, only with the ecobee app Will it work as a motion detector? Yes there is motion detection hardware on here. You can set routines and stuff through Alexa.
A: The room I put it in (my home office) has a ceiling fan. Works fine
Q: Will this work as a secondary sensor for the ecobee thermostat?
A: No. Switch+ does not work as a secondary temperature/occupancy sensor for our smart thermostats.
