eero does not have a preference on one modem over another, as long as the eero gets access to the internet via an ethernet cable. However your ISP will certainly have an opinion on which modems work with their service and which do not. I would contact your ISP to find out which one you should get. We would recommend getting a modem that does not have wireless built in. Since you will be using the eero for wireless the modem doesn't need it.
