Hi mara! The eero 6 is a router and wireless access point, so what it does is separate from your modem. If your Comcast Modem is an all-in-one, meaning it is also how you access Wi-Fi, there are a few ways you can use the eero to improve your network. You'll probably want to switch the modem to bridge mode, this way the modem handles the internet connection while the eero handles the router connections. I would reach out to Comcast for information on how to do that, as different devices work differently.
