Are you looking for better signal strength or better bandwidth (speeds)? If signal strength, adding more access points will give you that, but won’t necessarily increase your network speeds.

How it will work is one eero will hook up to the existing internet connection (hopefully directly to the modem, you may not need the netgear router), the eero (Which is the gateway/head eero) will then create a wireless network. Other eero can connect to that gateway eero, either wired or wirelesslly, and they will broadcast the same wifi network, giving your devices multiple access points to connect to. This eero, the 6+ will do very well for internet speeds around the 500s or a bit above and if you have not a large number of devices (If you have more than 100 devices I'd go with a eero 6 Pro).
