Yes. In fact you have to turn off router mode on your modem for this device to work since it needs to be the router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The eero should work with that Netgear Modem/router in either router or bridged mode, as long as the eero gets access to the internet via ethernet. If the Netgear is in bridge mode make sure no other device is plugged into it aside from the eero (it will only be able to give internet to one device) and that the eero is not in bridge mode. You need at least one router on the network and if the Netgear is bridged, the eero cannot be.

I didn't want to have to change my Wifi password to add Eero router so he turned off Router portion of the NetGear Nighthawk (now modem only) and it works great.
