“I currently have a eero pro... if I want to extend the range of my network.. why would I ever by a beacon ($150 for one unit) VS a standalone eero ($70 for one or 3/$150). Am I missing something when comparing the benefits of a eero vs a beacon?”

In simple terms, a beacon is like a range extender so that you can get additional internet coverage in areas that you may have dead spots. With the eero it does the same thing but you can also hard wire directly to the unit, you can't hardwire with a beacon.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The benefit of a beacon is primarily "cosmetic" - i.e. plugs directly into an outlet w/o a power cable. A disadvantage of a beacon is that you cannot use it to connect a wired-only device (unlike an eero or prime.)
